Her claim to fame is her boyfriend who spoils her so much and who is suffering from her terrible emotional instability. Their relationship is the perfect example of "opposite attracts" premise. They experienced the worst but they are always hoping for the best. But definitely, she agrees that she has a boyfriend, girls-would-die-for. Sense, style and humor attract her to him.
One of the bloody conversations she had with boyfriend is touching the sensitive subject of religion. She confesses that she'd been an atheist once, but boyfriend wanted to change her belief. She can argue no more so she submitted. But still, the idea that God has a masculine gender doubts her. She doesn't also believe that God has religion. Hence, aside from practicing christianity, she also does yoga and mediation. She also believes in karma.
She's tough on the outside but very soft in the inside. Liberated on the outside but conservative in the inside. She isn't a feminist but wanted to achieve gender equality in terms of respect and opportunities given by society. But as long as women don't know their own worth, she doubts if equality can be achieved. She joins the world in wanting to eradicate poverty, pain, injustices and discrimination of any forms (social, political, economical, cultural, gender and religious).
She hates to hate but she can't help hating people who are 1.) too self-absorbed that they are "oblivion to what they create or destroy"; 2.) judgmental that they box others in a world of prejudice and judgements they created; they just don't realize that the box they created serves as a mirror that projects the reflection of their own ugly skeletons.
She believes that people have tendencies to become slaves of vanity and technology, and she wants to believe that there are still people who are deviants in the purest meaning of the word. It's just sad to know that being different is becoming overrated. She doesn't claim to be different, but she wanted to be branded as one.
She's a frustrated rock star, and so, she just ripped off almost all her pants just to look like one. She's glad that her boyfriend knows how to play the guitar and bang the drums, or else, she'll live a life of misery and suffering (ahahaha).
Like her, her feet are rebellious. So, as much as she wanted to wear stilletos, she had to limit it on occasions that just call for it. She admits that "tsinelas" are her feet's best friend. She also considered coffee/tea a good companion but nothing beats a good book, a fine poetry, a magnificent play of words.
She loves to travel the world; trek mountains; snorkel, dive, kayak on bodies of water; have good times in Hawaii/the Caribbean; experience history in Spain/Italy; explore exoticism in Brazil/Cuba; feel and visit parts of Asia and Africa; but poverty stops her. But she doesn't want to be rich either. She is contented to die poor but happy.
She feels that she's a gypsy on her past life; or is there a past life? That, she wouldn't know and would have to dump the question on the "baul" of "world's unanswered questions." And she wishes to live close to nature, on the mountains and near a river, perhaps. She's jealous on hermits that they can detach themselves on worldly goods. She'll be one with them someday.
She's a dreamer but she stops dreaming after discovering that her dreams can't be tamed. So, she settled on that vintage bicycle she's eyeing for. She'll cling to it and control it, until someday, she'll be able to let go of the handles. She'll enjoy the wind touching her hair, and how it tosses in her delicate body. And yes, she'll buy the digital camera that she dreams of. Snap, freeze and live the moments with it she will. She'll leave the past behind, forget the future, and take one step at a time to appreciate the present and at long last, she'll be free and her happiness will be on its highest elation and euphoria.
Will ever get to touch the heaven, she hopes.
(This has been long overdue. It's been so hard to create one, which I have to balance the truth and the fiction, dissect the real and imagination, confess the right and wrong, and write from the point of view of the 3rd person that's still me. So I experimented a bit, I changed the "I," "me," and the "ego" hoping that the result still sounds very me but as objective as possible.)
